Student Adventure Program
We specialize in the growing field of adventure based, experiential education. We provide a unique and innovative curriculum designed to address the social and developmental issues of today's youth and to inspire growth in a safe, dynamic and progressive manner.
Our structure is based around introducing participants to knowledge of the forest ecology, conservation, survival and heritage of the Malaysian jungles.
Our programs consist of a progression of activities:
- Group challenges (games with a purpose)
- Low course elements
- The knowledge of modern and basic camp craft.
With a very interactive approach, students along with the adult staff working with them (teachers, advisers, counselors, coaches etc.) will discover and practice effective ways of communicating, leadership skills, creative problem solving, peace building, conflict resolution and more. We place a strong emphasis on debriefs (discussions designed to help transfer these discoveries and learning's to their lives). We also believe that it is important for the group members to have fun and to learn more about one another as important components of team building. We value all responses that occur during our time together: excitement, silence, frustration, relief, determination, etc. as they provide great opportunities for new insights, discussions and growth.
We customize all of our programs to meet the unique needs of each group. During our preparation time, we will discuss with the appropriate school staff, the particular dynamics of the group and their desires/goals for our time together. We will also be available throughout our program for updates and additional information. Our programs are very appropriate for all types of groups: student leadership groups, peer support groups, sport teams, alternative programs, physical education, recreational day trips etc.
We would like to make an appointment with you, at your convenience, to learn more about your school and to discuss how we may contribute to your existing program.
